These routes will change on March 8
Beginning Saturday, March 8, changes will be made to several Metro Transit and Plymouth Metrolink routes.
This list is an overview of the changes. If your route is listed, please pick up an updated schedule for details. Schedules are available on buses and trains and at Metro Transit stores and outlets. Links to schedules also are provided below.

Plymouth Metrolink Routes
Route 3
• Schedule times will be adjusted to better match customer demand.
• Frequency of service will be adjusted on weekdays.
Route 5
• Some schedule times will be adjusted slightly.
• Some afternoon trips that currently serve 26th Ave. will instead serve Brooklyn Center Transit Center.
• The southbound trips that leave 26th & Broadway at 4:36 and 5:34 p.m. will instead begin at Brooklyn Center Transit Center.
• The northbound trips that leave Mall of America at 3:29, 3:58 and 4:51 p.m. will become Route 5M trips, ending at Brooklyn Center Transit Center.
Route 10
• Schedule times will be adjusted to better match traffic conditions.
Route 11
• Schedule times will be adjusted to better match traffic conditions.
• The timepoint at I-35W & 46th St. will be moved to 4th Ave. & 46th St. to accommodate an upcoming detour.
Route 19
• Northbound service will start at a new timepoint at 7th & Park.
• Some schedule times and frequency will be adjusted to better match customer demand.
Route 21
• Schedule times will be adjusted to accommodate construction on Lake St. this spring.
Route 25
• Schedule times will be adjusted to better match traffic conditions.
• The southbound weekday trip that ends at Nicollet & 8th St. at 7:02 a.m. will extend to Nicollet & Grant.
• The southbound weekday trip that currently ends at Nicollet & Grant at 7:15 a.m. will end at Nicollet & 8th St.
Route 50
• Some schedule times will be adjusted slightly to better match customer demand.
• A new Route 50S trip will leave 5th St. Garage at 12:14 p.m.
Route 53
• Schedule times will be adjusted to accommodate construction on Lake St. this spring.
Route 61
• Schedule times will be adjusted to better match traffic conditions, connections to other routes and work starting times.
Route 62
• Weekday, Saturday and Sunday schedule times will have significant changes.
Route 68
• The last southbound trip weekdays and Saturdays will be extended from Marie & Oakdale to 5th Ave. & South St.
Route 70
• One weekday morning westbound and one weekday afternoon eastbound trip will be extended to Parkway Gardens Apartments at Frank & Hudson Rd.
• A timepoint will be added at Parkway Gardens Apartments.
Route 146
• Due to the temporary closure of the 46th St. Bridge, northbound buses will detour on Nicollet and 36th St. Southbound buses will detour on 35th St., Nicollet and 46th St. Buses will not stop between Lake and 46th.
• Schedule times will be adjusted to better match traffic conditions.
Route 152
• Due to the temporary closure of the 46th St. Bridge, northbound buses will detour on Nicollet and 36th St. Southbound buses will detour on 35th St., Nicollet and 46th St. Buses will not stop between Lake and 46th.
• Schedule times will be adjusted to better match traffic conditions.
Route 156
• Buses will return to their regular routes due to the completion of Diamond Lk. Rd. construction. Shuttle connections with Route 535 remain at Diamond Lk. Rd. and Nicollet Ave.
• Schedule times will be adjusted to better match traffic conditions.
Route 219
• This route will have added service and improved frequency on weekdays and added service on Saturdays.
Route 250
• Schedule times will be adjusted in response to customer requests and to better match traffic conditions.
Route 262
• Schedule times will be adjusted.
Route 265
• Schedule times will be adjusted to better match traffic conditions.
• The southbound trip that currently leaves Maplewood Mall Transit Center at 5:08 p.m. will leave five minutes later.
Route 270
• Printed schedules will be updated to reflect trips added since the I-35W bridge collapse.
• Some 270C trips will become 270M trips, providing nonstop service between Beam Ave. & Hwy. 61 and Minneapolis.
• Route 270M morning trips will leave Maplewood Mall Park & Ride at 6:11, 6:40, 7:05, 7:13, 7:33 and 8:14 a.m.
• Route 270M afternoon trips will leave Leamington Ramp at 4:25, 4:54 and
5:03 p.m. The Route 270M trip that leaves Leamington Ramp at 4:59 p.m. will become a Route 270C trip.
• Schedule times will be adjusted to better match traffic conditions.
Route 288 (eff. Jan. 7) NEW!
• This route provides service between the new 300-space Park & Ride at Forest Lake Transit Center and downtown Minneapolis.
• Route 288 offers four morning and four afternoon trips during rush hours.
• A Route 288A shuttle connects with select trips on Route 250 at I-35W & 95th Avenue Park & Ride in Blaine.
Route 535
• Buses will detour due to the temporary closure of the 46th St. and 76th St. bridges over I-35W.
• Buses will travel on 35th/36th and Nicollet between Lake and 46th St.
Buses will travel on I-35W, I-494, Penn Ave. and 76th St. between 66th and 76th.
• Schedule times will be adjusted to better match traffic conditions.
Route 540
• This route is being extended to provide weekday service to Normandale Lake Office Park.
• Buses will detour on American Blvd. between Penn and Lyndale due to the temporary closure of the 76th St. bridge over I-35W.
• Schedule times will be adjusted to better match traffic conditions.
Route 542
• This route will detour due to the temporary closure of the 76th St. Bridge over
I-35W. Buses will travel on American Blvd. between Penn and Lyndale.
• Schedule times will be adjusted to better match traffic conditions.
Route 552-554
• Buses will return to their regular routes due to the completion of Diamond Lk. Rd. construction.
Route 557
• Route 557A trips will detour on Lyndale Ave. north of 77th St. while the 76th St. Bridge over I-35W is closed.
• Schedule times will be adjusted to better match traffic conditions.
Route 576
• This route will detour on I-494 and Penn Ave. due to the temporary closure of the 76th St. Bridge over I-35W.
• Schedule times will be adjusted to better match traffic conditions.
Route 587
• Schedule times will be adjusted to better match traffic conditions.
Route 597
• The Route 597C trip leaving 2nd St. & 2nd Ave. S. at 5:08 p.m. will leave
5 minutes earlier.
• The Route 597B trip that leaves South Bloomington Transit Center at 5:43 p.m.
will become an express trip leaving 2nd St. & 2nd Ave. at 5:13 p.m.
• The 4:35 p.m. reverse commute trip from Normandale Community College will be
discontinued. Alternate service is available on Route 535.
Route 675
• Schedule times will be adjusted to better match traffic conditions.
• Weekend and some weekday service to Plymouth Road Transit Center will
be eliminated.
Route 720
• An added westbound trip will leave Starlite Transit Center at 8 a.m on weekdays and Saturdays.
• An added eastbound trip will leave Zinnia Ln. & Maple Knoll Way at
8:30 a.m on weekdays and Saturdays.
• Some schedule times will be adjusted slightly.
Route 721
• Added northbound weekday trips will leave Brooklyn Center Transit Center at 6:31, 7:33 and 8:33 p.m.
• Added southbound weekday trips will leave Hennepin Technical College at 7:04, 8:04 and 9:06 p.m.
• Eleven roundtrips will be added on both Saturday and Sunday. Northbound buses will leave Brooklyn Center Transit Center at 31 minutes past the hour between 7:31 a.m. and 5:31 p.m. Southbound buses will leave Hennepin Technical College at the top of the hour between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Route 766
• Changes to northbound trips that started in November will be included in printed schedules.
Route 850/852
• Most trips serving Anoka Technical College will serve the Jacob/Fairoak neighborhood north of Hwy. 10.
• A timepoint will be added at Jacob Ln. & Fairoak Ave.
Route 854 (eff. Oct. 15, 2007)
• Some schedule times were adjusted slightly to better match customer demand.
• An added northbound trip to Northtown leaves 2nd Avenue & 11th Street at
4:27 p.m.
Plymouth Metrolink
Route 776
• The 6:45 a.m. trip leaving Schmidt Lk. Rd. & Vicksburg Ln. will instead leave three minutes later.
Routes 790/793/795
• The timepoint at Marquette & Washington will be moved to Marquette & 4th.
