Commute with pedal power!

Join Bike2Benefits and see how rewarding it is to commute with pedal power.

Commuting by bicycle is good for your health, your pocketbook and the environment.

Beginning in May, join Bike2Benefits and ride your bicycle to work or a transit stop once a week over eight weeks before Dec. 31. It’s that easy! If you complete the program, you’ll be entered in a year-end prize drawing.

Sign up at bike2benefits.org, where you also can track your trips and mileage. The program is open to anyone 18 or older.

Once you join, we’ll send you a packet of information to get you started. You’ll receive:

• A personalized route map (if you need one)
• A booklet with tips on bicycle commuting
• Information on safe and lawful bicycling
• A reflective ankle strap

I live far from work. Can I still participate?

Yes, you can. All Metro Transit buses and trains have on-board bicycle racks, so you can bicycle for part of the way to work and take transit for the rest.
