A Go-To Card is a durable plastic fare card that works with just one touch to a reader and can be used over and over again. The Go-To Card is accepted on all regional, regular-route buses and trains, so no matter where you ride, your fare is covered.
Go-To Cards also offer balance protection if you register your card. Just report the loss and for a small fee, you’ll receive a new card with the value remaining on your original card when it was reported lost or stolen.

The right card for every customer
There are three different types of Go-To Cards. Pick the right one to ensure you get the best fare.
Customers ages 13-64 can take advantage of the many benefits of the Go-To Card, including a variety of options for adding value, balance protection and seamless travel.
Youth (ages 6-12), Seniors (ages 65+) and Medicare cardholders qualify for a Reduced Fare Go-To Card, which is programmed to automatically deduct a Reduced Fare when it applies. To order this card, complete a mail order form and include a photocopy of your ID. If you are ordering on behalf of a child without ID, the date of the child’s 13th birthday must accompany your order.
Have a Mobility certification? You qualify for a Mobility Go-To Card, which is the only card that can carry a Mobility 31-Day Pass (valid for a $3.00 fare). To order this card, complete a mail order form and include a photocopy of a MN driver’s license or state-issued ID with an “L” or “A” endorsement. If there is stored value on a Mobility Go-To Card, only 75¢ can be deducted for each ride.

The right fare product for every card
Go-To Cards provide maximum flexibility. You can add two different types of value - stored value (up to $400), passes or both. Don't forget you cannot use coins to upgrade to a higher fare. Learn more.

Stored value + Pass = Maximum flexibility!
If you ride nearly every day and the time of day and routes you ride are not consistent, a pass plus stored value might offer the best value.
If you add a $59 31-Day Pass (valid for $1.75 fare) and stored value to your Go-To Card, you can ride any bus or train. The card reader will automatically deduct the right fare using the pass and stored value. Example: You board a express bus during rush hours, which is a $3.00 fare. The first $1.75 of your fare is paid from your pass. The remaining balance ($1.25) is deducted from your stored value balance.
If you buy a pass other than a $113.50 31-Day Pass (valid for the $3.00 fare) or ride Northstar, it makes sense to add stored value. You'll never be caught without the right fare!
