Fares for most weekday trips on Northstar Commuter Rail went down by $1 on Wednesday, Aug. 1.

Fares at Anoka, Coon Rapids and Fridley are now the same as an express bus at rush hour!
Same price, more options. Whether you ride an express bus or take to the tracks on Northstar, you'll pay the same amount as far north as Anoka.
If you use a Metropass, U-Pass, College Pass or Student Pass, you no longer need to add value to your pass to ride between stations or from Anoka, Coon Rapids or Fridley. Your pass is valid for $3 toward Northstar rides. And if you board at Elk River or Big Lake, you now use less stored value!
