About NexTrip

NexTrip at metrotransit.org provides real-time bus departure information for select stops, transit stations and Park & Ride lots. Simply choose your route, direction and stop - NexTrip will list up to the next 10 buses that will be departing your requested location.

When a bus is predicted to depart a stop within the next 20 minutes, NexTrip will display (in black) the real-time countdown in minutes. For buses departing outside the 20-minute window, scheduled times will be shown in red. If location information about a bus is unavailable, only scheduled times will be displayed. Real-time location information is available for all Metro Transit buses and most regional transit buses.

NexTrip will update automatically every 30 seconds. Note: NexTrip provides an estimate based on where a bus is located at a particular point in time. Estimates can vary by up to two minutes due to various factors. You should always arrive at your bus stop at least five minutes before your bus is scheduled to depart.

A text/mobile version of NexTrip is available for screen readers and mobile devices. You can access it by selecting "Launch NexTrip in a separate window". Accessing metrotransit.org via a mobile device brings you to a menu where you can select NexTrip or NexTrip Text.

NexTrip is also available via phone at 612-373-3333. NexTrip real-time displays are installed at select transit centers and park & ride lots.
