Improving info at bus stops

Metro Transit is continuing a test of new bus stop signs begun in 2012 along West 7th Street in St. Paul. The test now includes locations in downtown Minneapolis along Marquette and 2nd Avenues as well as express stops along 3rd/4th streets and 11th/12th streets.

The new sign features a way for you to get more information right at your stop. Each of the nearly 15,000 transit stops in the Twin Cities has a unique number. The new sign features a Stop Number so you can get more information right where you need it – at your stop!

Use the Stop Number to access NexTrip real-time departures at metrotransit.org or 612-373-3333.

What about other stops?

Use the Services Finder at metrotransit.org or the Interactive Map to find the number for any transit stop in the Twin Cities. 

If you use an iPhone, Android or other web-enabled mobile device, it’s easy to bookmark your most-used stops or save them to your home screen for one-tap access anytime.

Also, look for Stop Numbers or Bus Stop IDs in the upper left corner of schedule posters in Metro Transit customer shelters.
