Referencing the human commuters traveling from Big Lake to Minneapolis and beyond, this sculpture is of one of Minnesota's favorite commuters, the Canada goose. Heading south in a loose configuration, the flock is focused on its destination while one goose has made a home here in Minnesota and sits content on its nest.

Parker McDonald is a Colorado metal sculptor who creates artwork of birds, animals, and people. He welds sculptures of animals, often in natural poses, and alludes to their natural setting, i.e. a mountain lion perched on a rock, a heron on a tree branch, etc. His work is in private collections as, well as, on display at schools and parks.
