From General Manager Lesley Kandaras

Sexual harassment has no place on transit.

That’s why, as part of our larger effort to provide a consistently safe, welcoming experience, we recently introduced a new way for you to anonymously report any sexual harassment you experience or observe on our system.

Signage pointing to our new webform can now be found in many of our vehicles, and we plan to promote this reporting tool more widely later this year.

While creating this tool, we partnered with two community-based organizations, Cornerstone and Sexual Violence Center, who are among the region’s top providers of services and support for victims of sexual harassment.

When someone submits a report through our tool, they will automatically be directed to a webpage where they can learn more about these organizations.

For our part, knowing more about where and when harassment is occurring will help us identify trends and respond accordingly.

It's important to note that if you feel unsafe and need immediate response, you should continue to use Text For Safety; 911 should always be used in the event of an emergency.

Thank you to Metro Transit’s Equity & Inclusion Team for leading this important work, and to our partners who work so tirelessly to help people feel heard, valued, and supported if they sadly experience harassment.
