Pledge to be a Car-Free Hero

If you pledge to opt out of using your car to get around just one day in September, you, too, can be a Car Free Hero.

Here’s how:

Make a pledge to take a car-free trip any day in the month of September, and you’ll be eligible to win prizes and support sustainable and affordable alternatives to driving alone. Hop on a bus or light rail, walk, bike, car- or vanpool, or telework. Simple!

Make the pledge at Car Free MSP and you’ll be entered into a random drawing for prizes, including an e-bike. The drawing will be held at the end of a public celebration of World Car-Free Day from noon - 3 p.m. on Sept. 22 at Minnehaha Regional Park with games, food, and fun.

Partners include Metro Transit’s Commuter Programs and Transportation Management Organizations (TMOs) in the region, including Move Minneapolis, Move Minnesota, Anoka County Commute Solutions, and Commuter Services (I-494 corridor).

TMOs support transportation options that help manage traffic congestion, reduce emissions, support health, and help businesses, schools, and multi-family residences plan commuting options.

Make your pledge today!
