Bus Shelter Beautification Program

The Bus Shelter Beautification program is an ongoing program where artists and illustrators can propose artwork for bus shelters. We add art to 15 to 20 shelters a year. Proposals are reviewed by a Selection Panel. Selected artworks are displayed for two years unless they are damaged.  

There are two deadlines a year: May 30 & July 30

Artist Compensation: $900 per selected shelter design

The Public Art in Transit program expresses Metro Transit's commitment to excellence. Metro Transit encourages creativity and innovation in all things, including art in its public places. The integrated public art program supports function with forms that may inspire discovery in otherwise predictable spaces.
