Join us for free public art tours!

Metro Transit has an extensive collection of public art on its METRO light rail lines. Join us for free tours in August and learn more!

Both Blue and Green Line tours take ADA accessible routes, riding METRO trains between stations on tours that include seven or eight stations. At each station, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about the featured public art from a Public Art tour guide – Metro Transit staff dedicated to educating and spreading awareness about our public art.

  • Wednesday, Aug. 14, 10 a.m. – noon (Blue Line)
  • Saturday, Aug. 17, 10 a.m. – noon (Green Line) and 1 – 3 p.m. (Blue Line)
  • Wednesday, Aug. 21, 10 a.m. – noon (Green Line)

Blue Line tours will start at 30th Avenue Station. Green Line tours will start at Union Depot Station. Look for the tour guide, who will wear a safety vest and use a megaphone. Tours are round-trip.

Please walk, bike, or take transit to the tour. Parking in downtown St. Paul can be difficult to find on weekends, so allow plenty of time. Tours are limited to 12 participants per tour. Participants will receive an All-Day Pass to continue riding the Metro Transit system for the remainder of the day.
