Quarterly service changes begin Saturday, Aug. 17

On Saturday, Aug. 17, Metro Transit will make changes to transit service throughout the metro. As always, these quarterly service changes adapt and adjust our service based on current and projected ridership and our available resources and driver workforce.

Some highlights this quarter include:

Frequency on the METRO Blue and Green Lines will improve to every 12 minutes every day.
METRO Orange Line frequency will improve.
Better Bus Route improvements for Route 4 begin.
Routes 5, 6, 9, 10, 11, 14, 18, 21, 22, 32, 46 and METRO C Line will have trip and schedule adjustments to accommodate new school end times for Minneapolis Public Schools.

As stability in Metro Transit’s workforce continues to improve and ridership increases, we are embarking on how to strengthen our service over the next five years – a project called Network Now.

If your route is not listed, the current service or suspension will remain for that route.

METRO lines

METRO Blue Line (PDF)

Frequency will improve to every 12 minutes from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

METRO Green Line (PDF)

Frequency will improve to every 12 minutes from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

METRO Orange Line (PDF)

Northbound frequency will improve to every 10 minutes from 7:30 to 8 a.m. and southbound 4 to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays.
On Sunday, frequency will improve from every 30 minutes to every 15 minutes from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

METRO C Line (PDF)

A southbound school day only trip will leave Camden High School at 3:20 p.m. for the duration of Osseo Rd. construction.

Better Bus Route changes go into effect to improve service and reliability.

A northbound school day only trip will leave North High School at 3:18 p.m.
Southbound school day only trips will leave Camden High School at 3:17 p.m. and 3:20 p.m.

Northbound school day only trips will depart Xerxes Ave. S. and 47th St. W. at 3:20 p.m. and 3:28 p.m.

A new eastbound school day only trip will leave Sanford Middle School at 3:28 p.m.

ROUTE 10 (PDF)

Southbound school day only trips will leave Edison High School at 3:15 p.m. and 3:19 p.m.

ROUTE 11 (PDF)

Northbound school day only trips will leave Pleasant Ave. and 50th St/Busch Terrace at 3:18, 3:22, 3:32, and 3:47 p.m.

A northbound school day only trip will leave Roosevelt High School at 3:17 p.m.

ROUTE 18 (PDF)

School day only trip times will be adjusted to align with new Washburn High School dismissal.

School day only trip times will be adjusted to align with South High School dismissal.

School day only trips in both directions will leave Roosevelt High School at 3:17 p.m.

An eastbound school day only trip will leave Edison High School from Gate A at 3:22 p.m.
Westbound school day only trips will leave Edison High School from Gate B at 3:14 and 3:20 p.m.
