Title: D Line – Bus Shelter Beautification Program

In 2024, Metro Transit partnered with Walker Art Center and Juxtaposition Arts to create art for seven bus shelters on the METRO D Line in North Minneapolis. These are the first art clings on bus rapid transit shelters in our system. Selected designs are installed for a two-year period. The project was funded by a Ladders of Opportunity Grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation.

Since 2020, Metro Transit has offered a program where artists in the seven-county metropolitan area can submit designs for bus shelters. Selected designs are installed for a two-year period.
